Aer Rianta case, part the second

Posted on Saturday, April 29, 2006

I promised you an update on the Aer Rianta story if I heard any more, so here you go. I bumped into another lawyer type yesterday evening, and brought up the matter of that big fat fucker who sued Aer Rianta. Sorry. The matter of that poor traumatised woman who quite properly received compensation for the appalling ordeal she had endured.

Apparently it’s the Barry McGuigan principle in reverse. Some will remember this and some won’t, but Barry fought a guy called Little Ali, who tragically died as a result of the fight. He had an unusually thin skull, which led to problems associated with thin skullness, such as dyingness during skull-pounding. In Barry’s case, this meant that he was blameless.

However. As lawyers say. However. Apparently, it’s the responsibility of employers to make sure that they don’t employ a complete gobshite who’s unable to cope with the slightest pressure without having a mickey-fit, and eating half a ton of chocolate fat-fuckers. Catch 22? You don’t know until after it happens!! Isn’t that great?
