I was reading a forum recently which contains a thread about Limerick. Archiseek is the name of the board, and here’s the thread, in which somebody remarked as follows:

The Island is such a waste of the city, it should be a beautiful part of town but instead it’s completely given over to thugs from the Island field.

This is fucking disgraceful. I grew up in Limerick, as did all of my friends, and an essential part of our development was to live in fear of thugs from the Island Field. Who are these Dublin-based liberals trying to take away our heritage? Hands off our thugs.
