Wherefore art thou Romeo?
Posted on Tuesday, August 15, 2006OK. Fair warning.
“Wherefore” means “Why.”
It doesn’t mean fucking “where.”
“Why do you have to be Romeo, and not someone else?” That’s the whole fucking point of it.
The next time I hear an ad on the radio with “wherefore art thou Romeo?”, I’m going to find out where the fucking idiot lives who made it, and I’m going to feed the half-educated South-Dublin cretin his fucking liver.
OK?
Only fair to tell you this in advance.

Thank you for explaining the entire plot of Romeo and Juliet in one sentence, now I get it, honestly.
The full quote is: “O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo. Deny thy father and refuse thy name. Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love and I’ll no longer be a Capulet”
In other words, somethings gotta give!
Also, the copy writers who obviously get on your wick are probably confusing “wherefore”, with “wherefrom” an easy but lazy mistake to make.
