f you want to look at the factors that made these men into rapists and murderers, that’s fine, as long as you don’t try to shift the emphasis away from their responsibility.

While they might well be victims of earlier crimes, they are also violent criminals who committed terrible acts. One of them took away a man’s life and the other violated a girl’s bodily integrity, leaving permanent emotional scars as well as physical pain.

Spin it any way you like but that’s the reality.

Again, I didn’t say it wasn’t their fault. I’m saying they were victimes themselves. And victims become abuser. It’s one big circle.

These guys are rapists and murderers. They, and nobody else, are responsible for what they did.

Any abuse they suffered in their earlier lives is also a crime, and the perpetrators should be punished, but it does not reduce their personal responsibility.

Let me try to make this plainer: they are responsible for their own actions.

There’s never an excuse for raping or murdering someone, and your attempt to spread the blame for such crimes is a disgrace.
