Big weekend coming up now for the Scunts.

Here’s the table:

Pld   Home   Away   Overall   Pts GD
  W D L F A   W D L F A   W D L F A

Now then. Tomorrow, Scun play bottom-of-the-table Bournemouth, and they’re at the bottom for a very good reason. They’re shite. However, they won’t want to go even lower, and therefore could be dangerous. Given Scun’s habit of losing to gobshites, I’m not making predictions, but I feel ok about it.

Forest, meanwhile, meet Tranmere, who are no mugs and present a tough challenge. I’m hoping they’ll hammer Forest, but even a draw would do.

Then, on Monday, they do it all over again. The Scunts meet well-placed Port Vale, whom they have already beaten in the League, 3-0. Forest, meanwhile, meet Oldham. Stiff competition, third from the top, just below the Scunts.

If Scun win both games and Forest lose both, it would put them four points ahead of Forest but only three ahead of Oldham, who might beat Gillingham tomorrow.

I’m in trouble now. These table permutations always confuse me and I don’t know what to wish for.

UPDATE : Scunthorpe beat Bournemouth and go to the top of the league table on goal difference.
