After you got out of the cab, the driver described the idiot and asked me if we were talking about the same guy. I confirmed his suspicions and he went on to quite vociferously agree that the man is an idiot and pointed out several unfortunate experiences to back up his claims. Don’t give it another thought, Bock.

I wouldn’t feel too bad if I were you. Also, don’t feel that you’ve got some insight into how the idiot mind works or that you reckon you may feel some of the ‘pain’ that an idiot may be feeling. In my experience of idiots (which is, unfortunately, extensive) I believe they are completely oblivious to their idiot status and, generally, feel that everybody else is wrong rather than them. This is why they are idiots.

I witnessed said event and I don’t think that there is any reason at all for you to be annoyed at yourself. The idiot in question is an idiot and you called him on his idiocy and many other character traits. You didn’t overstate and you didn’t equivocate. You told him like it is and I for one was impressed. I loved it when he called you a “nerd”. Ha, class. You should seriously think about piracy.

Generally in that situation someone has to get rid of the person, (by get rid of I mean get them to leave you alone, nothing more permanent!). I brought my underage rugby team over to the UK this year, and myself and one of the parents were having a “debriefing session” at the residents bar one of the nights, when a young pissed guy attached himself to the table and started to be a total asshole. Subtle hints weren’t working. So it was either give the night up as a bad job, or tell him to go fuck himself. Luckily the parent was an exGAA player, so he knew how to communicate in a direct manner.

Thank God, Allah, Krishna and assembled dieties that due to circumstances beyond my control but outlined to you earlier Bock I was delayed and unable to attend last night’s session. I avoided witnessing the the Bockplosion. For visitors to the site who have not witnessed such events I can assure all the scene must have been mighty ugly, blood on the floor!
