Scooter Libby

Posted on Thursday, June 7, 2007

I see Scooter Libby went to jail.

Or will go to jail.

Or something.

Why will Scooter Libby go to jail?

Would you like to know?

OK then.  Scooter Libby will go to jail for doing what his boss, Dick Cheney told him to do.

For saying what his boss, Dick Cheney, told him to say.

Will Dick Cheney ever go to jail?

Eh, that would be a No.

Scooter Libby was the quintessential Company Man, and without question considered himself bulletproof.  He reminds me of that other great iconic figure, Ollie North, who truly believed every word his political puppetmasters told him, though Scooter doubtless carries more intellectual punch than Ollie could ever muster.

All the more reason why Scooter must today be feeling like a complete fool.  I look forward to reading his book, which will probably be published approximately one Imperial nanosecond after he gets out of jail.

I don’t think they can afford to let him do time. Bush will pardon him. If you were Libby and had to go to jail to cover for Cheney, wouldn’t you tell all and expose their rotten tactics against Wilson?
    I would.
But they might get me afterwards. :)

The father of these blokes is “Tricky-Dick” Nixon. Check for the hearings. It’s all there.

The fucker’ll go to jail, but it’ll be country club style. Meanwhile, money will be accruing in a secret bank account for he and his family…

Oh, and yeah, the book deal.

Bush will pardon him as he leaves office, if he’s not released beforehand for good behaviour….

He’ll go to jail and serve the sentence. I love that the judge also fined him $250,000 and gave him two years of probation after he serves his sentence. Cheney will reward him with a job at Halliburton for sure.

It’s interesting to see all the Republican heavyweights joining the cause to keep this fucker out of prison.
It’s even more interesting to see the judge in the case publishing the names of those heavyweights who wrote testimoinials for Libby.
The federal prosecuters are pushing hard for Libby to go to prison for the entire sentence as is right and proper…..well kind of proper..I mean I don’t think 20yrs for that bastard would be excessive but anyway…

No-one should be surprised if the Chimp pardons Libby before his sentence begins.I mean it’s not like either one could get any more unpopular.Fuckers.

The mention of Jail has prompted a few thoughts. Why do the english use Gaol! I know I know, I have little worrying me. Anyway Jail is from “Jaiole”, you guessed it Latin for “Cage”. Gaol is only a derivitave from Jail so the english only use gaol to be uppity, nothing new there then.
Also: Just heard Paris Hilton was released after 72 hours, (3 days of her 23 day sentence which was already reduced from 45 day sentence). What is that about. “Money doesn’t talk it swears”.

Now the judge wants to see her - and he says his sentence sticks. Will they put her back in?? Ooh, I can’t bear the tension!
