Doorways of Istria
Posted on Friday, July 20, 2007During a recent covert operation in Istria, I managed to take a few pictures of doorways and other things.
Here are some of the doorways. I’ll show you the other things in another post.
If you’re on a dial-up connection, this post won’t suit you.
The rest of the pics are below the fold.

YOU'VE BEEN SHOUTING ABOUT ...

Fantastic pictures. The subject reminds me of that poster everyone had in the 80s, the Doors of Dublin.

They’re gorgeous. Where’s Istria? (Too lazy to click away and google…..)

Great theme for pictures, I am a big fan of Door and windows, there is a very good painter here that specialises in Windows and window frames and shutters.
By the way your snap shot enabled site keeps kicking me out of the internet every time i scroll across a link. Do you have any idea why ?

Thought you might have slipped a little shot of Ray Manzarek, but y’know, whatever…
Nice work, even so.

Ellie: Hmmm. Maybe I’ll make a poster of it.
Aisling: Where’s Istria? Now there’s a question.
Macdara: That Snap thing is pissing me off too. It won’t uninstall for me. I have to use a sledgehammer approach. Sorry if it’s interfering with your connection to the tinkernet but I have no idea why that should be.
Mr A Minute: I would have, except I have no imagination.

gorgeous shots, sugar…reminds me of a time overseas in an undisclosed location … old doors, crumbling walls and nothing but desert around us… and then there’s paris…i need to find that door for you

I am very concerned with your fixation with apertures. Some open, some closed, some guarded, all different colours. Is it a way forward? Is it a way back? who knows, who can tell. I thought that was my gig.

Smashing. I envy you. All I can do is point and click, and they generally turn out less than mediocre. If I take a good one it’s an accident. :)

Excellent pics Bock. I’ve always had a penchant for the quaint and ordinary myself. Well captured.

Alright, so now you have gone from interntional man of mystery to Bosco, ( knock knock open wide see what’s on the other side).

I just love those photos. I love taking door photos too!!
I was thinking, you could load your washing machine into the boot of your car and put a nice red ribbon around it and drive around for about 10 minutes with the boot open and you can be sure when you arrive home the washing machine will mysteriously have vanished!!

A fantastic bunch of photos, Mister Bock. The Problem Husband and meeself went on a door-picture-taking campaign of our honeymoon in Rome but without nearl7y the success you’ve had. Beautiful!

Love them. I have a thing for windows myself!
