Bock The Robber

Fear Not! Bock is Safe.

Posted on Sunday, July 22, 2007

My apologies for being absent, but the mini-digger and mini dump-truck finally appeared, as did the Rockhopper from the Aran Islands. The last few days have therefore been devoted entirely to manual labour followed by excessive drinking with the Rockhopper, so you can understand there isn’t much time for the usual blogging.

I hope to get back to regular posting shortly, but at the moment the garden is like the second battle of Ypres due to tracked vehicles tearing the shit out of it. I also had two brushes with near-certain death due to the mini dump-truck overturning twice: once while I was trying to get it down a severe incline, and the other time when I overreached with a heavy load. It’s amazing how fast you can leap off a falling vehicle when you’re staring death in the face, or if not death, at least a dismally-crushed groin.

We’re off now for more excessive drinking.

See you later.

Nothing like hard labour to work up a thirst! Enjoy!

Ellie: Thank you kindly, but we unfortunately didn’t actually get to drink excessively, due to the Bullet attending an open-air rock gig in King John’s castle and having to get home safely. We only managed a vaguely half-pissed kind of night, but hey, who’s complaining? More diggers to be driven tomorrow.

Thanks for this bit, Bock: the garden is like the second battle of Ypres.

I’ve been racking my brain for days trying to describe my garden. The roof trusses arrived in the pouring rain on Friday and the JCBs unloading them made pure shite of what grass was left.

It all fits in nicely - In a few days the roof will go up. I can say we’re going over the top, lads.

Were you playing some hillbilly music and videoing yourself in fast-forward, whilst upturning and jumping from the mini-digger?

Morning Bock I am kicking myself, missed the gig but we are busy building the Ark and as for the garden well the trees came in handy any timber to spare.

Glad to hear you’ve reconstituted the Munsters in your demesne. I expect ‘extreme gardening’ video asap!

Was at the gig. Heavy metal lives the X brothers were awsome dude. Obviously gave Bockschloss a wide berth this weekend: there was mention of actual work going on. Holy Moley.

    Savannah: Poor you.

    Mr Sneeze: Courage, mon brave!

Cap’n: Of course. there’s always hillbilly music at the Bockschloss, which as you know is German for “fucking fools trying to act like adults unsuccessfully”

a Khit Bháin: As Noah said, I will in my Ark.

Conan: You can’t get away from the Munsters here: neither Young nor Royal. Grandad was one.

QJS: Good man. When the going gets rough, the rough go to a rock gig. I heard Diamond Head were great.
