  1. As if I need yet another reason to visit this blog, you’ve given me the treat of Leon Redbone.

    Ta, Robber Man.

  2. such a cool guy! great sound..thanks, sugar :)

  3. I saw Leon Redbone live in 1985. Opening act for George Carlin. Two great tastes that taste great together.

  4. Wow, I haven’t heard that name in years. I saw him live in 1977 at the Starview Summer Jam in Hellam, PA along with Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee and Johnny Hartford.

  5. I never saw him live. Shit!

  6. He was in Galway for the Arts Festival a good few years ago. Great gig. Said he was walking home down an alley in New Orleans when a girl came up to him and said she’d do anything he wanted for twenty dollars. “So i gave her the twenty. Now she’s painting my house.”
