African National Congress Elects New Leader
Posted on Wednesday, December 19, 2007Well done, guys, for getting rid of that fool, Thabo Mbeki, who thinks that AIDS has nothing to do with HIV.
Well done for electing Jacob Zuma as leader of the ANC. This is a man who avoided AIDS by having a shower after sex with somebody who had HIV.
Real progress there for South Africa.
Great hope for the future.

From Wikipedia: “He said same-sex marriages were “a disgrace to the nation and to God” and “When I was growing up, an ungqingili (a homosexual) would not have stood in front of me. I would knock him out.”"
He sounds like a peach, a plum pick for the ANC. You might say the cherry on the cake. It’s always suspicious when a person takes against gay people so vocally. It suggests there may be a bit of the fruit about his own low-hanging fecundity.

Gulp, you mean a shower won’t wash it all away! Say it isn’t so Bock

There’s actually some interesting stuff coming out of the US about the HIV-AIDS non-link. The idea being that HIV does not necessarily lead to AIDS, that AIDS is a separate entity that seems to be made possible by HIV infection, if you see what I mean. Can’t find the bloody link now though. No pun intended.
Only thing is, I also can’t remember the source of the information.

Oooh, check this out. Good article on Wikipedia - which reminded me that I read about the reappraisal lark through a link from the Foo Fighters web site.
I remember what I read seemed well-written and with excellent presentation - must be why it left an impression.
