Jan 31st, 2008 | By Bock | Category: internetIf I don’t win anything, which I probably won’t, at least I’ll get to meet lots of interesting people people and get drunk and get … whatever, but there are three I’d like to see taking some silverware home.
One is Gimme. Not because I know him. I don’t, but he speaks to something atavistic in me that I recognise, and he’s not a million miles away from the Bock Ethic, and he can write right.
The second is our friend from these Limerick parts, Mr Darwin, for much the same reasons.
The third is Bruff Rugby Football Club for their amazing achievement in springing from the GAA heartland of rural County Limerick and rising year on year through the divisions. These are serious guys and this is a serious outfit. Watch them.
Go visit all these bastards, I urge you, and read them.
