Beijing Olympics: Just Boycott The Fucking Thing

Posted on Sunday, March 16, 2008

Look.  These are a crowd of bastards.

Entire neighbourhoods have been bulldozed to make way for these Olympics and thousands of people have been kicked out of their homes to die of starvation.

Is that what you want?  Is that what you’ll be thinking when they light that flame?

Will you be thinking, Isn’t it great those people were forced out on the streets so we can watch this ceremony?

Don’t support it.  Don’t be an accomplice.

Tibet has been raped by these bastards.  This Chinese government doesn’t give a shit about human rights as long as they look good in the Olympics and the only reason they got the Olympics in the first place is because our government wants to do business with the murdering fuckers.

Don’t support them.

Tell them to fuck off.

Boycott the fuckers.  They’re a crowd of crooks.

This is their website.  Send them an email telling them what a crowd of crooks they are.  You wouldn’t be able to do that if you lived in China or Tibet because their goons would beat you up and stick you in jail.

Olympics my arse!

…..the only reason they got the Olympics in the first place is because our government wants to do business with the murdering fuckers….

Bock - you’re a sound fella but are you really tellin’ me that the only reason China was awarded the accolade of hostin’ the Olympics is because Bertie wants to import cheaper Christmas decorations????

But having been a bit of a Pedantic Pat there yes, I do agree with you. Their treatment of Tibet alone is enough….

Any country that takes part in these fucking Olympics is making a sham of the notion of human rights. I totally agree Bock. And when Speilberg pulled out I almost forgave him for the CGI ET.

china holds too much paper on the west, sugar! no country will boycott, but i wouldn’t be surprised if individual athletes did. btw, i didn’t take your post as china bashing either! ;-)

Bock - I’m with you on this. The only way to advance human rights for the Chinese and the Tibetans is to deny this vile regime its moment in the Sun! Sport is not about politics but if our athletes participate in this sham then they are making a political statement and by their actions condoning a murderous and corrupt administration. Not holding my breath but the churches should be making a noise about this!

Re:Marks comment.. How do you Justify murder and displacing thousands of your own people for the sake of a 2 week event?..Take the fucking blinkers off you moron.

Bock spot on.Its only unfortunate that for alot of young athletes this would be there best oppurtunity to compete at an Olympics so they cannot be condemed for not boycotting but i do think that it would be a peaceful protest by certain states to pull out of the Games ..Its not gonna happen though..money talks alot more than the sound of suffering..

OD is right. Bantamweight John Joe Nevin was on Newstalk this morning, and he doesn’t care about the situation in Tibet because he’s “not into the politics” and would hate for “some politician” to stop him going. Thick cunt.

I wish they would move the steroid-drugfest…aka the Olympics permanently to Athens and do away with this type of horseshit, which in this case is costing tens of thousands of people their homes and livelihood.

It’s too bland for athletes and others to say “It has nothing to do with sport”. Well if my entire neighbourhood was levelled to accommodate the building of a Stadium, and I was given 24 hours to pack up and go fuck myself so some fuelled up pack of addicts wanted to run around what they put up on it for two weeks, I just might get a bit pissed off and tend to disagree.

As for what’s going on in occupied Tibet, those vindictive pricks will wait until the five-ringed circus has passed through before exacting full retribution for the rising of this week.

Boycotting the Olympics is one thing, but we should be thinking twice about trading with this regime.

[…] How refreshing. I hope this whole Tibet thing doesn’t spill out of control. If anything though its going to open up an interesting debate about our relations with the Chinese government coming up to the Olympics… Bock The Robber weighs in with this. […]

Publicly, I will be boycotting the Olympics because of China’s appalling human rights record

Privately, I’m just using it as an excuse to skip the whole dreary thing

I have to say I whole heartedly agree… Anyone see the article on skynews about them capturing dogs and putting them in cages then clubbing and stabbing them to death before skinning and eating them.. sounds horrendous. Maybe is it poverty Id ont know but thats just appauling. Their human rights are the worst in the world. Currently no media is allowed into China. Saying all this i will still watch the Olympics.. who can resist?

The problem now of course - once ye all have had yer fill of self righteous moral indgnation - is that if the 2008 Olympics are boycotted it will lead to even more suffering for Tibet.

It is way to late to boycott the Games.

The Hoof half hit the nail on the head above when he pointed out that the Chinese will exact retribution on Tibet once the Olympics are over.

True, but imagine what they will do if the Tibetans are responsible for getting the Olympics shelved…???

Likewise, best not be calling for a boycott least it leads to even more suffering. Be carefull what you wish for….

China should never have been give the Games, true. Maybe a solution would be to build a permanent Olympic villiage in the Games ancestral home in Athens and hold the Olympics there every four years, minus the automatic qualification quota for the hosts.

The comment about Cavan bantamweight John Joe Nevin above is disgusting. This 18 year old has sweated blood, sweat and tears for his country in trying to qualify, eventually doing so after beating a world number six in Italy last month.

Journalists are trying to set this kid up by asking him questions about Tibet, and if he plays along they’ll splash it all over the front page “Irish Olympian KO’s Chinese conduct in Tibet” etc etc

Meanwhile, the piece about the dogs being slaughtered is harrowing yes, but hey, do ye all know how pigs are slaughtered in this country.

They are hung up and have their throats slit to “bleed them” and then lobbed into a furnace to burn the hair of their skins, no hairy bacon please”, a lot of them are still alive, I have been informed.

The only thing the slaughter houses don’t sell is the squeal.

Should I mention how lobster is boiled alive in resteraunts..and the lamb meat in our kebabs…
    how did it get there..

Enjoy your bacon and sausages “long time” in the morning,

It “velly velly good” with hypocrisy sauce.

Too late to boycott the games, is it?

You mean, I have to watch it on TV and I have to buy the merchandise, or else?

    Shit, I didn’t realise that.

Is it too late to boycott the Magners League because those fuckers from Leinster keep exclaining
“absolutely” aphros of nothing, before every sentence..?
