Those evictees received adequate compensations (based on housing market values then). The reason why some of them were protesting is because they didn’t want to give up their “premium lands” (the vaule of which would be greatly increased after the olympic”, greedy bastards.). Now whether or not they were “kicked out” depends on what dictionary you are using, however they were certainly not left out to die of starvation. Many of them, especially in cities, have much higher living standard than you think. (its the chinese people who live in rural areas (country sides) are making ends meet – hence chinese refugees in north america.)

Just out of curiousity, how many of you actually know the history of Tibet, or better yet, where Tibet (XiZhang in mandarin) geographically located?
