That’s right. I think all mentally-ill people should be jailed, as well as all short people and everyone whose name is Jim. In addition, I believe the authorities aren’t doing enough to control the menace of grey-haired people.

Barry George is mentally ill it was interesting that in the second trail he had to have a full time psychologist to sit with him at the retrial due to his mental state. In law anyone in this condition usually would not be fit to even plead not alone to stand trial. Do you agree then that the mentally ill should be gaoled? I am sure you would not think so. He cannot be held accountable for his actions due to his mental state. What this case highlights is the fact that the mentally ill are left to fend for themselves. The Care-in-the-community approach means that no one cares if they take their medication .

Barry George suffers from epilepsy, and the condition may have contributed to the mental health problems he developed. The press referred to him as a nutter, very understanding comment for the mentally ill, would you agree?? this man was accused of stalking women under the new UK law of “Bad Character” evidence which use to be called hear say and not allowed in a court of law. I think you should research your facts before making such ignorant statements

I know. I know. He’s bonkers and he didn’t kill Jill Dando.

I know.

But stalkers make people’s lives an absolute misery and he isn’t completely without understanding.

Barry George knew what he was doing, and while I’m not saying he deserved to be punished, I do think he needed to be locked up, which is exactly what happened.

Unfortunately, it happened because the cops fitted him up and the CPS are a crowd of toss-pots who’ll get anyone convicted as long as the cap fits.

Think Birmingham Six and Guildford Four.

I was a bit taken aback when I saw that BG story on some tabloid piece of shite. Did you read the piece? I didn’t bother my hole. What did he do to that other woman who he claims he was stalking? I guess he didn’t have a chance to do anything cause he ended up being banged up for something else. The man is evidently not the full shilling, but would he really have deserved 8 years incarceration in a max. security prison for stalking. Certainly he was a danger o women in society. Maybe he still is? But jail does not a stalker help. The man is now probably a lot more deluded than before this whole episode.

He’s apparently due a big payout. Would be justice all round if the person HE caused suffering to got HIS payout.
