Garden Party In The Rain
Posted on Sunday, August 10, 2008
We set up a couple of gazebos and stoked a big brazier of coal. Then we packed a cooler with iced beer, lit oil lamps and fired up the barbecue. I set up two ancient speakers that filled the garden with music. We all huddled in our little pavilion, with a bottle in one hand, a kebab in the other and a song on our tongues, watching the heavens open and the deluge falling all around our little island of merriment.
It was great.

Problemchild- The rain made it better. Terrific.
JPT - An excellent evening’s work, not to mention the rest of the night and the early morning.

Bit of ancient Rome there Bock, Ceasarlike with the partying whilst they were drowning abroad in Sixmilebridge. Jesus Christ and his sweet sacred hearted divine mother, what have we done to done to deserve this summer, this wetness, this drenching. Have you a theory?
