Tonight there will be no drivel, no babbling, no visceral, stercoraceous pap.
No jokes. No ranting. No cursing.
No politics.
No dinner.
No Dad’s Taxi for Bullet.
Tonight there will be an Indian take-away, a bottle of wine, boots off and feet up.
Tonight, I relax with a full, feature-length Stargate on the telly, getting enthusiastically drunk and shouting things like Yeah! Go for it, O Neill!!, or Shoot them fuckin Goa’uld motherfuckers, or even For fucksake Carter, get ‘em off! while my horrified son skulks away with his friends to play electric guitars in their lair.
Oh yes. Isn’t it great to be mature and all grown up at last?

How I miss Stargate. I still don’t get your Tapping obsession but each to his own. Anyone I mentioned it to didn’t get that I liked the mechanic girl instead of the hooker in Firefly. And, to bring it nicely full-circle(ish) she is now playing the doctor lady in Stargate Atlantis. One degree of separation (or something). Lovely.
Excuse me when I clasp my hands to my chest and stare off into space. Ahhhhhh.

All I can say is it better have been a great opening to have absolutely no drivel,visceral,stercoraceous,jokes,ranting, or my beloved cunting cursing.
I trust the Tapping rear end and other expressions were up to pat (excuse the blatant pun).

I think they film a lot of it in British Columbia near Vancouver. Tax breaks mean it’s cheaper to shoot there than in the U.S. There are lots of special effects / CGI businesses there too.

Ah stargate.
One of the best series I’ve watched on tv.
Don’t particularly fancy Carter that much though.
The Jack O’Neill character is excellently scripted and acted though.
