Bock Sells Out
Posted on Thursday, September 11, 2008Give me your opinion on something, will you?
I was thinking of producing a bit of Bock merchandising. Do you think people would be interested in this kind of thing?
Or this:
Or this, maybe:
I’d be interested to know what you think, so do get back to me please. If you think it’s a good idea, I might start selling personalised pens or mugs, or tasers or bottles of Wild Turkey, or blottters of brown acid.
Or Virgin Mary statues. Or Infants of Prague.
Who knows?

How a series of religious novelties, all proceeds to child abuse charidees…?
E.g., Padre Pio oven gloves.
Really.

Brilliant idea. I’ll tell them the money’s for charity.
Brilliant.

Sorry, clarification of previous post.
To me it’s a good, strong design, and I have no idea whether Bock fans would buy T-shirts like that, but there is a huge gap in the market for novelty gifts to/from people that share your values.

The blue is awful, it looks distorted. The black on white is my favourite of the three.

I’ve sold stuff on Cafepress before, you’d be amazed the type of shite that people will buy. Your image might be intellectual property though.
And I’d change the web address just to an ordinary straight font just under the image, or on the back. None of that fancy wavy crap.

i’d buy one (black t is my first choice, then white), sugar and i’d wear my welldonefillet pin on it! ;) xoxo

Put me down for one Child of Prague and two tasers, please.

Bock, I mocked up a few T shirts in my sidebar for the craic, and received emails the same day enquiring about the price.
Go for it.. good luck.

Isn’t that Klaus Kinskis’ image? I bet the Kinski/Rossilini estate have better solicitors than Bock. Careful now.

Hello bock,
Might i suggest something in regards to your t-shirts. Personally i like the blog, but i don’t think i would buy a t-shirt with an enormous bock the robber on it. However, if you were do make some kind of witty or satirical statement or a funny image (Bertie bling bling, I shot Charlie Haughey..etc) and use the Bock image and address as more of a signature. It’s just a thought.

I used to have an ‘Osmond Brothers’ t-shirt. Then my father got a job! Happy Days.
September 12th, 2008
so let me get this straight map, your father got a job in Happy Days?
Is he the Fonz?
Now that would be a nice t-shirt…

What Boggle said. And Primal Sneeze. (Along with your original if you like. I like the black.)
CafePress are good value, as far as I know? I have/had a bumper sticker from them on my car, which says, “Who would Jesus torture?”

Put me down for two white-on-black’s. :)
September 12th, 2008
I’m actually working with ‘a team of people’ on some stuff themed for the budget. ‘Bertie broke my country’ that sort of thing.
September 12th, 2008

Now if it was Natasha, wow!

I think yill find that’s Nastassja, Benny. Where is she lately? Who could forget “Cat People” - puttin’ out fire with gasoline indeed? Always wondered how an ugly bastard such as Klaus undoubtedly is, could have anything to do with the production of such a beautiful woman. Anyway - great idea Bock. A black one. Size S.

I think Little Nicky is on to something - the titles of your posts make excellent t-fodder. You could start of with this line (get the colours right) and then start using the more colourful post titles, perhaps along with the best posts on that topic. This is marketing nirvana - you will hae to give up this blogging shite when you get too rich to talk to us!

Black T with the white logo, is my fav.
you could put some of your favourite pics on the mugs

Thank you Martin.
The spelling, unfortunately, was the last thing on my mind.

Sorry for my pedantry Benny - bit of a fan - as in fanatic. “One from the Heart” was another cracker. Great soundtrack from Tom & Crystal as well.

Bock, Damien Hurst is gonna have to rethink his t-shirt range if these go on the market. i will need some extra large I’m afraid.
September 13th, 2008

Hi Rob, no my father wasn’t the Fonz! How silly!! It was Richie! My Father was Richie! He was! We have a photo of him!
September 16th, 2008
Yeah it works alright, the cheebah ones sold out and we sold them over the counter of a pub!. If we do them again we will make it available to buy them online. Think it might work.
