I remember sneaking in to see Cool Hand Luke in the late 60s in Waterford. What a film! The orchestral version of Plastic Jesus is also very moving. What a career. What a man, he’ll be long remembered.
A true star and so much more.He had a strong belief in luck and I think he passed this luck on to the countless kids he helped through his Foundation.RIP.
What a hero he was. A great actor and, by all accounts, a wonderful human being. He also stood out from the pack by maintaining a high quality of work into his old age. Good sauces too. RIP and thanks, Mr Newman.
Sad news indeed. I can remember coming out of the Roxy and actually wanting to be Cool Hand Luke.
I’ve never eaten a boiled egg since.
I don’t care if it rains or freezes
Long as I got my plastic Jesus
Sitting on the dashboard of my car
Comes in colors, pink and pleasant
Glows in the dark because it’s iridescent
Take it with you when you travel far
Get yourself a sweet Madonna
Dressed in rhinestone, sitting on a
Pedestal of abalone shells
Going ninety, I ain’t scary
Because I got the Virgin Mary
Assuring me that I won’t go to Hell
Get yourself a sweet Madonna
Dressed in rhinestone, sitting on a
Pedestal of abalone shells
Going ninety, I ain’t scary
Because I got the Virgin Mary
Assuring me that I won’t go to Hell
R.I.P. Even guys have to admit that he must have been the most handsome man!? He reminds me of my dad. Unfortunately I look like my mam’s brothers!!
