Ulster 22 – Munster 6
Oct 25th, 2008 | By Bock | Category: Rugby, SportThat was disappointing, wasn’t it?
I didn’t know what to make of Munster’s shape at all. I realise McGahan made ten changes since the Heineken Cup game, and maybe the team had trouble finding their rhythm, but they seemed lost for creative ideas, though that’s not to diminish Ulster’s fine scores.
Those two tries from Nagusa were high quality, though I don’t think he should have been able to find space through the middle the way he did. I also think Paddy Wallace was unlucky not to be awarded a try for his effort. I thought he had it. On the other hand, Munster just couldn’t get through the Ulster back three no matter what they did, not that they did much. Our half-back partnership didn’t gel tonight and we looked very short of ideas for most of the game. It also didn’t help that when we needed to pull back points, the coach made seven substitutions in an already unsettled team.
On the other hand, perhaps he took the view that there wasn’t much at stake and maybe he wanted to have a look at the different combinations of players in a competitive game.
I don’t know. All in all, a very unsatisfactory evening for Munster supporters.
I hope we’re not back to the old days when Munster didn’t care about the League.
That would be a pity.

bock~ here is a winter time solution for you~
just don’t change your clocks, ever again…
keep them on daylight savings all year long, and all you have to do is remember when you have appointments, adjust them to “your” time…
ain’t no one says we HAVE TO move every
timepiece in our world twice a year, it’s a hassle! if everyone who prefers all year daylight savings would do this, then eventually
standard time would mostly be for the banks and
corporations and schools and doctors and government stuff~ don’t you think? start a daylight savings revolution ~ disobey the
time changers, refuse to adjust another clock~
and tell us how it goes, ok?
“That was disappointing, wasn’t it? ”
No, not really……
Jesus, Manuel. I forgot you were an avid Ulster rugby supporter.
I’ll not say much either Bock, I thought we were going to be as bad as usual lately so stunned at the improvement. Budvar hangover from hell actually helped by that extra hour in bed. I think.
ya, not concerned about the league i fear!
bwahahaha…..got my number alright
