Munster v Ulster

Jan 3rd, 2009 | By Bock | Category: Rugby, Sport

I was hopping from one foot to the other trying to decide if I’d go to Thomond Park tonight to see the Ulster game, but building that goddam shed has taken up the whole weekend and anyway I have a chest infection or something that’s making me feel like shit, and I’ve already been out in the freezing cold for the last two days building that piece of rubbish, and right now I just want to sleep, not stand in the freezing cold in Thomond Park.

I’ll watch it in a pub with an accomplice or two and we’ll all get quietly sloshed.

Sounds like the kernel of a plan.

Anyhow, the way Munster have been performing in the Magners League lately, I’m not sure they care too much about winning.  Who knows?  Let’s see how they get on against our northern friends.

For the moment, I’m going to bed, and then I’ll have a hot shower and see if I’m fit to go anywhere.

UPDATE

Sweet suffering Jesus, we got fucking hammered.  37-11.

I have to wonder if there’s something seriously wrong in the Munster camp.  This is the third bad performance in three games, including the Clermont match where we were almost beaten by 14 men.  What the fuck?

At this rate, our trip to Montauban will be a holiday, because Sale will eat us alive and we’ll be out of the European cup.

  1. U may well be correct about Munster’s seeming lack of desire to win in the magners league, which is a pity really, they are better than that and should realise it themselves!

  2. Bock – while you were building the shed, the Israelis snuck into Gaza behind your back..

    Nuts

  3. Umm, well Ulster were pretty damned good tonight. A few Budvars and probably you’ll need a shot or three of Absinthe, that should sooth it Bock.

  4. Was thet the team that nearly screwed the All Blacks into the ground??
Depressing to see them taking so little interest in the Magners League.

  5. certainly munsters worst performance in a long time. total humiliation.

  6. The “Ireland/Leinster” effect which caused the failure to field the full Munster side against the All Blacks; as opposed to the second string, is possibly kicking in. Psychology shit!
