Cannabis Advertisement

Have you seen that new British government ad about cannabis?

It shows a young guy smoking a spliff. He gets giggly. Then he gets hungry, happy, talkative and chilled. After that he starts to feel paranoid and panicky while he’s giggling and eating popcorn.

What? Isn’t that what smoke is supposed to do? Who made this fucking ad? Who paid for it?

I got paranoid and panicky watching the fucking thing. And then I flung a bag of popcorn at the tv.

What the fuck?

What? Exactly? Is this fuckin ad? Supposed to? Fuckin be about??

Cannabis users all over Britain (and Ireland) are looking at this ad, in all its giggly, happy, chilled, paranoid, talkative, panicky, giggly chilledness, and they’re saying

Yes? Your point is what exactly?

For fucksake. How not to get your point across.

  1. As a confirmed non user of cannabis(maybe) I can only say…Wow,Jesus H Krist man.How radical is that shit.Did you like see the octuplets,no wait man the twentythreetuplets getting so wasted and they only had one bag of crisps.Bad vibe man.Totally bad Vibe.

  2. BOCK, you surprise me! Yes I am surprised. This add has nothing to do with cannabis. No, it’s about promoting change in the world of art where instead of painting those silly-round-halos over peoples’ heads they should instead paint words in the english language so that everyone would understand their silly artistic concepts!
Jeeze BOCK, how did you miss that?
I mean, “Talk to FRANK about cannabis”?
I know that Frank knows shag-all about the stuff, so what about that then, ha?

  3. What a load of toss.
The best ‘anti’ cannabis warning I saw was actually in Southpark. At the end of the episode, after the usual over the top ridiculousness, Stan’s dad is forced to admit that if Stan smokes joints he probably won’t end up homeless, but that getting stoned makes you feel alright about being bored when you could be using that time to learn something new and Stan’s dad is just afraid that Stan will grow up not being good at anything.
Simple and true. In fact I believe this to be the biggest danger of smoking joints habitualy

  4. The Simon ads were clearly designed by absolute fucknuts. My favourite one is the one where they claim cocaine is brought into the country in dogs’ bellies. How fucking clever! Dogs’ bellies! Sure the dogs are only in quarantine then for six months… very convenient if you’re a baron used to a quick turnover.

Why can’t they be honest and say it comes into the country in the bellies of the horribly downtrodden? Oh yeah, the downtrodden aren’t as cute as puppies. What a daft cunt I am.
