Gig For Gaza

Thousands of people were maimed and 1300 killed during the most recent brutal Israeli assault on Gaza.
Last Friday, the 6th February, there was a concert in Vicar Street in Dublin to raise money for the children of Gaza – a concert I overlooked.
All artists gave their services free and it looks like a great line-up. Performers include Paul Brady, the Waterboys, Mundy, Jack L, Lisa Hannigan, Neil Hannon, Mary Black, Liam Ó Maonlai, Kila, Frances Black and Eleanor McEvoy.

Even though the gig is over the album is well worth downloading as I have just done. It took Gaza for me to wake up to the tragedy of what Israel has become. The persecuted becomes the persecutor! Do we never learn?
Damn! I’m kicking myself for not getting this post up a week ago.
I know gazza is going through a hard time at the moment but if you give him money won’t he just drink it?
Some things just aren’t material for humor!
