Love the humour Bock, few can do it with such class. Fuck knows RTE have been trying for the last 50+ years to do what you can in less than a paragraph.
But when you do the serious shit on the Church, Fianna Fail, abusers/rapists, Corruption, Mideast/Gaza, Auschwitz, etc.,….and try to make sense of the madness, you hit all the right buttons.

I would say News and Current Affairs, because your commentary is reflective (though often houmours) of affairs what are current and in the news.
I've not looked at the long-list that closely but a thing did jump out at me in the best humour category which you're in. Note when I did an analysis of the nominees (for best post) last year noting the tendency that posts came from the end of the year I was accused of contracting people and saying they weren't eligible. Simply because I pointed out that a few of the posts were from 2005 and 2006.
Anyway, this year you're supposed to have been active from July 15th and December 15th 2008 (I didn't pick those dates, the TPTB did) and yet it seems you're up against the Sweating Lady who much though I love her stuff didn't post at all between from March 9th and Dec 4th. Is that active blogging? Or is the fix in already?

It's a fix! Seriously though Dan, I don't know. I was wondering about that myself. Both Twenty and I were dormant for stretches of last year. Having said that, when we do blog we do so at least 5 days out of 7… Ah, I dunno. I wouldn't really expect it to go further.
