Wouldn't mind being there but I gotta say there's something about the venue that distracts me. I'm just not comfortable there.
Perhaps it's me and doubtless you won't disagree BOCK but I do like to feel like I'm not beholding to the club ethos that permeates at times. Crazy shit; but thye're you go. That's me.

Overly sensitive or just paranoid? Haven't concluded which yet!

I know what you mean by the "club ethos" unstranger but I don't find it at this venue. The atmosphere at this venue is being created by the wonderful enthusiasm of the young people running the club and their obvious love for music mostly from an era before they were even born. These young women and the mainly young crowd they're drawing in provide a magnificent atmosphere, and their enterprise is a shining example to all of us young and old.Long may they run!

I have to agree with Tom. The whole idea behind these sessions is to make them accessible to everyone, with no bullshit, and in my opinion the girls have achieved a nice relaxed feel where everyone is made to feel welcome.

Really looking forward to some great music and a proper night out for one plus an excuse to get dressed up in my pre-recession gown AND having a good reason to wear it! Fairplay to the enterprising girls. This is very cool and well put together by all appearances. I know nothing abour what they have done apart from this event and am wondering now who they are since 'girls' was given away.

I am very pleased though to see people get enterprising, creative, and involved in things in the recession in Limerick – getting off their arse generally instead of complaining that 'something should be done' or 'wouldnt it be nice' – I am often doing this though so I cant say too much. I wont go on but I had a great three hours meeting all kinds of Limerick people at the Spirit Store (started in the former Sarsfield Bar – Patrick Street) its a great place run by volunteers and well worth the visit.

Beautiful location, brilliant band well organised. 2 small problems, the venue was a bit too small, I was sitting down the back as I'd gotten there early and couldn't see the band at all. Second problem, way too much talking going on, some people arrived, barely looked at the band and talked all night, blocking everyone's view and sound. Maybe a few reminders should be given about keeping the noise level down and the band could do with a pedestal. Otherwise fantastic.

I had a seat too. After the place filled up I couldn't see the band at all. Zero. I also couldn't hear them properly – the talking-noise-level in there was unbelievable. Probably not much you can do about that sort of rudeness but the band definitely need a riser or something so at least you can see the instruments that you can't hear properly! Maybe even get rid of the tables. Fair play for organising it but I don't think I'd go to that venue again. Band were great but badly let down by the place and the noise. Sorry…..

Great night! Musicians were top notch. I'd say it will be in a bigger venue next time after the success of last night! I couldnt see the band (smallish woman) but it didnt detract too much – be nice to hve a seat though as I'm not used to heels.
Jackie you're right but I dont mind people talking too much as long as its not oppressive – they seemed to shut up about 10min after I came in.
Now to cycle in for the car.

Great gig, Me hats off to all involved. Band were top notch with some Fine solo spots. Great gigs usually only happen when all band members are really happy with the sound going on around them, needless to say there were some broad grins being shared amongst all of them last night. Nice venue which i will check out more often, especially if they broaden the music genre. Reminded me of the night i did a "Flat Upstairs" gig there for Tom Collins's, {few years back now} with the Infamous Mr Taj Belagi on percussion. A mad night was had by all. Well done lads.

Fabulous night, I had a seat to start off with but abandoned it, was easier to see the band when standing. really enjoyed Liam O Brien's singing, can't wait for another gig!
