The Boudoir Sessions

Stop press! SpeakeasyJazz has invited The Boudoir Sessions crew to make their first appearance in Limerick. The place for this swingin and swayin show?
Speakeasy Jazz’s Christmas party in the intimate and perfectly apt Rowing Club.
When? Thursday 10th December, from 10.
Prepare to revisit the early to mid-20th century: the music, the look, the feel, the aesthetic allure – and even the lollipops!
Resident Djs the Boudoir Boys are a mainstay at arts festivals, the Electric Picnic and at their regular Boudoir Sessions in Brogans, Ennis. These dastardly dapper Boys will spin a fine vintage of grandpa’s gramophone groovers: flapper-style, swing, boogie woogie, jump blues, bluegrass and even some Caribbean mento and calypso.
Miss Guided and Little Miss Match will serenade the crowd, with a piano, accordion and chanteuse set; their stories and sounds exude pure vivacious fun and the honest, irrepressible brightness of life. Listen closely, and you might hear a hint of Judy Garland, Billy Holliday or Mary Coughlan coming through.
Feel completely free to get dressed up in some old skool style: from flapper to teddy boy, trilby trimmings to sequin stylings: the choice is yours.
Tickets are on Sale now- €12. Contact us for info.
Update: some pics from the evening.
