Scotly the points you make are very valid. The majority of our T.D‘.s are “Val Falvey” types ,thick as two brick walls. Most of the time they spend in Leinster house is in the bar. I campaigned against Lisbon. I want rural Ireland to thrive and prosper because I want to eat Irish butter, cheese, meat etc. the current leaders are not the Party. There seem to be little to choose between F.F. and F.G. except F.G. seem to be more to the right wing. F.F. will sail with the prevailing wind as they see it. The Greens will almost certainly go at the next election. We need a change the only option left is Labour. They may well screw up but we can not go much further down the tube than the bottom. I am of the opinion we are almost there at the moment. O do buy some candles a lot of candles you will almost certainly need them.

I must disagree on your view of the Labour party. Although not a member of any party, I am of the opinion that Lab.

Yes, the Labour party is the “least worst” of the lot right now, and I have a very soft spot for Joan Burton. But Eamonn Gilmore has twice really riled my feathers.
1) During the Lisbon campaign he kept going on about people “without a mandate” getting stuck into the “no” campaign (who else was there) – the implication being that elected persons (us with a mandate) are the only people entitled to speak to national issues and once you vote us in, youse should all shut up until the next election. My view is we should vote for them and then never give them a moment’s opportunity to forget they represent us, and they need us to tell them how they should represent us – which they did not do when we asked them to via Lisbon I (and Lisbon II here in Donegal).
2) Mr Gilmore spoke here in Donegal at the MacGill Summer School, and told a bunch of country people that his first priority for quango cutting would be the department of rural affairs. And then ran away before anyone could ask any decent questions (admittedly in this second offense he was joined by Brian Lenihan and George Lee.).

When the fuck will you lot realise that the Dail is simply a debating society club house for fat fucking bastards who are sucking up fat salaries and expenses without the slighest intent of giving value to tax payers or seriously challenging the glaring mistakes of thier mate on the other side. It is like this, “rock the boat lads, but not too much”. When have these fuckers ever not voted an increase in salaries or expenses for themselves and thier mates.

Politics, in southern Ireland is a theatrical production. The Dail is the stage and the actors are all politicians. This is a kartel, a dictatorship, Irish style. Wake up people, you have been had and are still being had, shafted up the butt, SCREWED sideways and royaly at that and it is staring you in the face, shouting at you. Ah fuck it, if you cant see it then you deserve it. And that is what these fuckers know and exploit. Learn to fuck them back.

You have described it exactly right.
If Paul Gogarty disagrees with the budget, then he should not vote for it.
Even the catholic church allow people to follow their conscience, or so they say!
Do the Greens?
If Gogarty disagrees withh FF, he shouldn’t be in bed with them.
The Greens have sold their souls to FF to keep their few minutes of power.
Paul Gogarty has gone against his own beliefs and conscience to stay in the Dáil.
It won’t be for long!

Soctlyn . That is truly the sixty four million dollar question or should that be billion now? As I understand it F.F. want to lose the next election, allowing them to get rid of Biffo and F.G. and Lab. Will strip what is left of the Republic to pay the bank debt. Then at the following election F.F. will romp home with a massive landslide victory , even if they put their pet dog up as a candidate. I must disagree on your view of the Labour party. Although not a member of any party, I am of the opinion that Lab. Realise the problems we all face. The rather sad ping pong match we have had since the inception of modern Ireland between F.F. and F.G. does need to change .
