According to the Youtube description of this clip, Kseniya Simonova is a Ukrainian artist who just won Ukraine’s version of “America’s Got Talent.” She uses a giant light box, dramatic music, imagination and “sand painting” skills to interpret Germany’s invasion and occupation of Ukraine during WWII.
This is astounding. Take the time to watch it from the beginning as the artist, working only with sand, leads the audience through all the emotions arising from a terrible time in their history.
This is the kind of talent they value in countries like Ukraine.
Meanwhile, we got Jedward.
