I might just take a few days break from this blather over the festive season and get down to some serious relaxing.
It’s been a fairly turbulent year with all sorts of ins and outs, many vicissitudes and much confusion for all of us. I’m tired.
So let me raise a glass to both of my loyal readers. Without the two of you, I don’t know what would have become of things.
It’s time to get munching on cake and pudding, mince pies and boxes of peculiar sweets. It’s time for smelly cheese and vintage port. It’s time for feet in front of the fire and new socks and silly ties.
It’s time for surprises and for spending time with those who matter. It’s time for falling asleep in front of the telly after too much dinner. It’s time for hot whiskeys and for staying up all night telling stories.
See you shortly after Christmas, but in the meantime let me wish you all the best. We’ll talk again soon.
