Krakow and Auschwitz Pictures

As I might have mentioned, I was in Krakow recently, and also took the time to revisit Auschwitz after five years trying to process what I saw there.

Last time I visited Auschwitz, I took pictures that were fairly derivative, that might have been shot a million times by visitors over the years and that said nothing about the people who had passed through that awful place.

Last time I visited Krakow, it was the depths of winter.  Here’s a few pics with a slightly different perspective and maybe a slightly better understanding of what a picture should be.  Or not.

You decide.

I dreamed of Auschwitz…women who died there invited me into a gas chamber. A woman said I was welcome because of the love and sympathy I felt for them.
Inside were women dancing…beautiful modern dance like Martha Graham…lovely dresses.
The lady told me, “We are defeating the Nazis with beauty, not hate…this is our way.”

I don’t know who you are with this blog, but I agree that there is far too much celebrity worship and dependence on clerical bossiness and OBSESSIONS over secrets. Flying around the world with credit cards is very unbecoming…perhaps their personal lives are crap.
Our Lady was a little Palestinian Jewish girl with a head full of beautiful thoughts and goodness.
Catholics should plant flowers, bake muffins, learn to dance and be very humble with this woman they claim to honor.

    Whose lady is that?

  3.

    Wise guy

  4.

I don’t follow. What do you mean?

  5.

    Where are you?
I’m a Scottish Texan raised on anti Catholic stories…been Catholic 40 years anyway. Hard to shock an old lady like me.
Are you a teenager asking questions like that? That’s how my grandkids talk!!

  6.

Don’t patronise me, Granny. Did you think this was an anti-Jewish Catholic website?

  7.

No…a smart mouth wise guy website.

  8.

    Why are you here?

  9.

It’s a Bronx slang…like when James Cagney gets arrested and tries to argue with the cop. The cop says, “Whadder ya, buddy, some kinda wise guy?”

Those implants for kids are amazing.
